Deaf hangouts in Oklahoma City?

Question

I need to find a Deaf community center I can visit or a Deaf event I can attend on either March 8th or 9th in Oklahoma City.

I am vacationing there that weekend but, I must practice my signing at a Deaf event or Deaf community center that weekend as well for my ASL class. I tried searching online, but cannot find anything!

My professor will not accept Deaf coffee chat as an acceptable event. Why? I have no idea. It would definatley make my life easier! :)

On a side note, ASL is one of the most worthwhile classes I have taken in a long time. If you have an interest in signing or the Deaf community, I highly reccomend taking it up.

I found a couple of websites that list several groups, and organizations that meet in Oklahoma City. You might try contacting one of them to find out if anything is going on that might qualify as your class requirements. Good luck!
