Dealer sold me a car and doesnt give me title..??!!!?

i live in tennessee and bought a car CASH in atlanta goergia, the dealer hasnt sent me the title and it been almost a month.. they said they sent it a week ago priority(2weeks ago) and they gave me a track number and i cant track it..? havent goten a postal letter either sayn they come bak or i can go pik it up....can i sue them or somethin..!!? what can i do..??!! if i drive down there i probly burn his car lot down!

  1. the state d.m.v.  normally issues the title not the dealer . it is the dealers responsibility  to submit the sale to the d.m.v.

    did the dealer give you a temporary registration??  they should have .

    take any paper work you have to a d.m.v. office  and ask them about this  


  2. Contact the Attorney general for your state! They will take care of it!

  3. Just be a little more patient.  If they say they sent it to you, but you cant track it, ask them to track it since its not working for you (Even though we know they probably did not send it).  Also, if they registered it for you, it means its your car, even if they did not give you a title since they take care of that transaction.  If a few more weeks pass and no title, you can contact motor vehicles and they should be able to take care of it.
