Dealing With Natural Lighting?

Can someone please give examples of ways to deal with natural lighting that create bad backlighting during recording? (sun, room lights, bright windows, dark environments)

use flags and stuff to block the sun in different locations on your talent.  You also need to change your exposure to focus on the talent.  Also, use boards to bounce lights onto the faces of your talent for some nice fill.
