Question:

Dealing With Sis?

I'm 13, and my sister is 9. She's taking advantage of me and my brother. My parents haven't realized this. She hits and kicks me (she's a tae kwon do student) and says i hit her. She insults my brother and me with teasing nicknames, "stupid" and "idiotic" and such. I feel hurt. I share a room with her sometimes. My dad has just passed it off as sibling rivalry, and I don't think my mom knows. When I'm babysitting, it's worse. In front of my parents, she's an angel.

There are other issues too. My dad and I don't get along, and whenever he leaves the room, she tortures me with "Why don't you love Daddy? I'm his princess." What can I do when she does this when I'm babysitting and at home?

  1. ignore it she's probably jealous and trying to get on your nerves uhm hello you shouldn't be hurt if a 9yo calls you stupid

  2. I can relate to this a lot, except I'm 14. I know exactly how you feel as my sister is the same. My sister pinches and bites herself then says i did it.

The best thing to do is simply ignore her. Trust me, nothing will annoy her more. If you can't do that then go out with your friends as much as possible. Staying away from her will be the next best thing.

If you're still getting in trouble for hitting her when you haven't then i suggest you do hit her. There's nothing worse than being punished for something you haven't done.

    Hope that helps!

  3. set her up....if she does it all the time get your parents to come in and catch her in the act, that's what I do ;D

  4. In the Bible it says to love your enemies so I would suggest being kind back towards your little sister in return to her being mean to you can look at this bible verse in Matthew 5 verse 43 and 44. As I see it you only get one sister in your life so treat her with respect.
