Dealing with a deep cut on my thumb?

i was wrestling something away from my dog today and he caught my thumb in his mouth. hes a big dog with sharp teeth and really did some damage. among other things, there is a centimeter long laceration on the inside crease of my thumb's knuckle. it is quite deep and when my thumb is extended there is a slight protrusion from inside the cut, it is a soft red blob the cannot be removed(i assume its a peice of flesh, since it is quite deep, though i am not sure)....what is the best thing i could do for this while i am out in the day and home at night.. thank you and i appreciate all help.

  1. man i was workin with my dad (he does landscaping) and i was in  a tree with a chainsaw an cut my leg. the cut was only about 2 inches but it was pretty deep and he super glued it back together and i was ok after that. and the glue dont hurt like you think it would so i would just super glue it

Wash it with warm soapy water as long as it has stopped bleeding.

Animal bites can infect humans and your cut needs a proper cleaning and  investigation to make sure it doesn't need stitches.

Its really important that you go to an Urgent Care to have it looked at and cleaned. Do not try to do it yourself and do not use anything but soapy water.

  3. wipe it off with an alcohol pad put neosporin on it and cover it with a bandage. let heal
