  1. You need the assistance of a licensed Psychiatrist.  The person who made the diagnosis may help you.  You need ongoing support so please check with your county social services agency and your local association of retarded citizens for some support and information in your area.

Contact your local mhmr center (Mental health/mental retardation).  They should be able to offer you some assisstance.  Further, contact the doctor that diagnosed your son.  They should be able to put you in touch with others as well.  Finally, contact your son's school to see if they can offer you any resources through them.

  3. You need to seek professional help in dealing with this straight and simple. There are counselors that deal with children with this specific problem.  Also, I have heard a thing on AM radio advertisements called "The Total Transformation" written by a child psychologist that promises immediate results.
