  1. if you want to know if the noodle is firm enough, throw it at your refridegerator. if it sticks, its perfect.

...just wipe off the noodle mark.

  2. Limp noodle? heard of viagra?

  3. If the noodle is too limp, you've overcooked it.  You want it to 'al dente' which means the past is firm but not hard.

Once your water has reached a full roiling boil, add your pasta.  Cook at high heat for 7-9 minutes.  Use a fork to check for doneness by cutting a piece of the pasta against the side of the pan.  It should cut which just a bit of firmness.  Drain and serve.  (Don't rinse the pasta if you're adding sauce.  The starch from the pasta helps the sauce cling to the noodle.)
