Deals on eye exam plus glasses?

I live in Texas, very close to dallas. i am looking for somewhere that has a special on eye exam plus glasses. Does anyone know of a good place? I do not have vision insurance.

costco. if youre worried about the $50 membership, ive heard many people say that they have saved more than that by getting their eyes checked and purchase of glasses. they also did a study on places to get glasses. they picked some places to test out how exact the rx was on the glasses. lenscrafters was the worst surprisingly costco was ranked one of the highest, if not the highest.

if you really want to avoid the membership fee, wal mart is a good place to go. it is an independant doctor, they just rent the space from wal mart, so they are not technically employed by wal mart if you are worried about that.
