The son of Droopys Vieri, out of Wee Ranger, was also a long shot as he entered the race with a 12-1 chance. N. McEllistrim’s training became apparent on the track as the hound set the track ablaze with his unmatched speed.
He defeated, Leos Options, by a marginal difference of a short-head in 29.04 seconds. Leos Options raced as a joint favourite with Brinkleys Flyer, who finished in fourth place. Both these hounds had odds of 6 to 4.
The third place was acquired by Kirkland Black, who completed the race in 29.14 seconds, 1 ¼ lengths behind the runner-up.
The E. McNair trained, Millroad Scolari, landed a magnificent victory in the Grade OR Williamhill.com 4th Derby Trial Stakes Div E, which took place at 20:08 GMT.
The son of Droopys Scolari, out of Amigan Girl, who was whelped in October 2009, raced with odds of 5 to 2, and defeated race favourite, Romeo Recruit, by 2 ¼ lengths.
His winning time was 28.70 seconds, whereas the D. Firmager trained runner-up finished the race in 28.90 seconds.
Guinness Kev, son of Droopys Vieri, out of Miss Modesty, finished the race in third place. He entered with the odds of 7 to 2, and completed the race in 29.08 seconds.
