It's all about conservation, isn't it? If not, why?

  1. I would not eat anything that can beat me at a game of chess. This includes most sea mammals, octopi,  and Border collies.

  2. I would say sure, but I have never tried whale meat and I am not sure I would like it. ( not Australian either )

If some people answer no it is becsuse they are having an emotional reaction to the question and not a rational one.

All laws or regulations should be based on reasoned arguments and not emotional ones.

  3. This may make me unpopular in some circles but the definition of conservation is "wise use". If a population can sustain culling for food and still maintain its numbers, the wisest use is to harvest the excess. This is hardly a new concept. Read Johnathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal".

  4. Absolutely.  Whale meat is very tasty.  As long as the harvest is managed properly there should be no problems.

  5. No because whoever hunts whales or any other large sea creatures is illegal because if everyone starts hunting them the will become endangered. but people still eat whales in Japan its cruel.

  6. Hunting and eating large amounts of animals or mammals is cruel whether they are endangered or not!!!!

  7. It definitely is not alright to kill and hunt whales just for their meat.  Whales are already sorted in the undangered species category, so we should do our best to protect them. People hunt whales just to get money, but they don't realize what will happen once all the whales are gone. If we don't have food, we can GROW more!!!

  8. not if it's just to make money/burgers. Prob is they do want the endangered species too. There are not enough whales to feed the starving of this world. Once it starts everyone will poach them and populations will plummit again (like in the past) and cause a loss of genetic diversity and s***w up the ecosystem forever. They only want them for the money and they are already rich to begin with.
