  1. I am 30 also and up to date on my yearly check ups.  When I went in to get my IUD removed the Dr just made sure I had been taking prenatals for 3 months (which I have) and didn't do any testing.  Told me to come back when I am 8 weeks pregnant.

    best of luck! :)

  2. well i am 27 and doing the same thing.. i went off bc around 5 months ago, and they did tell me to start taking prenatels & to just watch what i eat and exersize and that will help with ttc... but she did do a full physical, internal, breast and whole body, she did test for all std's and just blood count and stuff like that, she also check my cervix and blood pressure, and everything was good... all thought im still waiting for that good month to come... so baby dust to you and good luck

  3. I dont think 30 is too late but if you do want a child i think you should start now because as you get older maybe from 33-to your early 40's you have a more risk of having a c-section and their is a higher risk for the baby to have down syndrome

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Congratuations, it's an exciting adventure!  First I would go for your annual and discuss with your doctor that you want to start trying.  They will likely have you start taking a prenatal vitamin and folic acid.  I would encourage you to spend some time getting to know your bodies normal cycles, it will be very helpful. Nothing can tell you more than keeping your basal body temperature chart so you might want to start one.

The most important thing I've learned in the 18 months I've been TTC is not to set expectations. I'm not trying to say you won't get pregnant in the first month you try but if you happen not to sometimes we've already let our mind have timeframes or plans in mind...and these make it difficult to ride the montly roller coaster without getting too down if it doesn't turn out just hte way you planned.

My husband and I find it the least stressful and most fun to BD 3-4 times a week whether it was a "fertile time" or not. The whole 18 months has brought us closer and closer.

    Good luck!
