Dear Lebanese users, what do you think about the "Union for the Mediterranean"?

Lebanon is a Mediterranean country. What are your thoughts about this Union?

I am not Lebanese but i think that the Union for the Mediterranean is not a bad thing, especially, if it can make the Arab nation to do business together.

As a French citizen I think our President Sarkozy is a little bit megalo and has the will to play a large role in the world. I don't care personnaly, in particular because I think that Arab regims are not enable to make projects together.  The Arab League is a deception.

it's a good idea but I dunno how such a union can be possible if half the mediterranean countries are not ok with Israel...so I think it won't work

It's a good idea in theory.

a lot of these countries can benefit a lot from a good relationship.

Sarkozy is trying to reestablish France as an influence in the area, good for him, he seems to be achieving what America has not been able to do.

It's a good plan.

I have recently realized that there is such a thing as a Mediterranean culture; which although not commonly "advertised", is more prominent in the Lebanese culture than the Arab image Lebanon tends to be associated to.

...From the life-loving friendly personalities, the fluid systems and messy driving.... to the olive oil and food. SO Mediterranean!

Great idea if all of the politicians could commit to making it work & not see it as another way of making a quick dollar for themselves !
