Dear Pa likely to bounce back in Betdaq Race of Champions Semi-final at Tralee
Dear Pa is expected to put his campaign back on the right track after an embarrassing performance last time. So, the punters can take a chance on him in the Betdaq Race of Champions Semi-final, taking place at Tralee on Friday, June 22nd.
After clinching two back-to-back triumphs, Dear Pa suddenly lost his direction. In his last appearance, Crash’s son completed the order of finish behind Paradise Martini.
He was pretty impressive in his latest victory. Despite the fact that the dashing hound returned to action after a gap of almost two months, he showed no rustiness, sealing the top rank by three and a half lengths.
Dear Pa’s fine solo outing would have also helped him boost up his confidence. Although there are plenty of quality runners in the line-up, one can easily expect Dear Pa to display a wonderful show tonight.
Among his opponents are: Droopys Jet, Ballymac Vic, Shelbourne Geoff, Airforce Diva and Young Sid. The 550 yards race is scheduled to get underway at 22:10 (GMT).
Droopys Jet seems to be the biggest threat to Dear Pa. The black dog was not impressive in his previous outing, but his wonderful track record is hard to ignore.
After a couple of unlucky appearances, F. Black’s charge broke the shackles and clinched an emphatic victory by one and a half lengths in mid May. After such a comprehensive win, Slip The Lark’s son could not continue his good work and as a result, finished
fifth last time out.
Ballymac Vic is coming into this race after a couple of excellent solo trips, but still it is hard to recommend him. The brindle dog was fifth in his last appearance at Shelbourne Park.
Airforce Diva was terrible in her last trip. The white and black b***h could not beat the back marker in her last appearance. Similarly, Young Sid and Shelbourne Geoff were not impressive last time out.
There are many powerful runners in the line-up, but Droopys Jet and Dear Pa seem to be the most dangerous runners. The latter gets our vote, because he was quite fascinating in his solo outing. Good luck to all runners.
