You have to understand that this is not a third world country that you are saying we should put down on their knees- did you know that If the US and Russia got into a conflict, at some point one side would start winning, and when that happens, the other side would go to their nukes, and then the retaliatory nukes would fly, and presto! No US, No Russia, and no more world! You need to read the book "nuclear Winter" to understand what would happen to the world in the event of a nuclear war between two super powers. The world ceases to exist.
