Question:

Dear believers... Do you really hear God?

I'm curious, how many of you have actually heard God? Not felt him inside you, not through the Bible, but seriously have heard His voice?

How does he sound? Is it deep and powerful? Or is it soft, gentle, but wise? Does it echo around you?

And if He has spoken to you, what did he tell you? What did He say? Did He tell you what you should use to remove the stain of your clothes? Did He tell you that you'll be healed of your disease?

Or have you never heard Him speak to you before?

Have you prayed for him to speak to you, for you to listen to Him?

Has He ever spoken to you and answered your prayers for something incredible?

You pray for trivial and common things, those that you could accomplish yourself, like for you to pass tomorrow's test, for your inner strength, for you and your family to be safe, for it not to rain.

Yet, you do not pray for a cure for cancer, you do not pray for the starving people in Africa, or for people to regrow lost body parts, why so?

And when you do pray for truly extraordinary things, God does not heed your prayer, why so?

Did He not say: "Ask, and you WILL receive."?

Did He not give you His word that He shall give you what you prayed for?

I've heard many believers tell me that they will pray for me, yet I still go through life with the same problems and obstacles. Does that mean that they did not pray for me? Or does that mean that God did not answer them?

And if God had a plan for each one of us, why do you need to pray for trivial things? Why do you need to pray at all besides to worship Him?

My questions are:

1. Have you seriously, truthfully, heard the Voice of God? When you pray, meditate or whatever. Do you actually hear his voice?

2. If you did, what did He sound like? Deep and powerful? Or Gentle and Wise?

3. What did He tell you? Is it incredible knowledge that could alter human perception? Or is it trivial? Like how to remove the stains on you clothes?

4. Does He answer any of your prayers for incredible things at all?

5. If not, Why?

6. if your answer to 5) is "God's Plan", why do you need to pray for trivial things? God has already planned for you to do what you will do, why the need to pray? How can prayer change what God decided?

  1. "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."—Isaiah 30:21.

You cannot commune with God unless you have been born gain, being reborn of the spirit of God. Yes, God does communicate with believer's. We are part of "his flock."

"My sheep hear my voice, I know them and they follow me." John 10:27

  2. People only claim they heard god because it is harder to disprove than seeing god.

  3. I pray about something that i want to do and ask God to work it out and sometimes it is His will and sometimes it is not

    i dont hear His voice

because we are sinful this keeps us at a distance from God

So its like a spiritual walk

  4. "If you talk to God, you are praying. If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia"

  5. Yes I hear God speak to my heart in a still small voice

And sometimes it is so strong it will stop you in your tracks

He tells me something that is important at a very specific

time.Like call someone and tell them what just happened to you before this

So when I do this the other person will say I just prayed to Jesus asking Him for help in this issue that I have and then you called and by your story that you went through i got my answer

This has happened time after time after time

You asked the question and I gave my personal

experiences and that is that.To me it is natural.

Ok one time I was in church and God told me to leave in the middle of the service so I walked out the door and then He told me to go to the basketball court and tell those two guys that you led to Me yesterday that they are saved because someone is telling them they are not saved.

So it was about a 15 minute drive and sure enough this guy was telling them they were not saved ,

So I talked to them and reminded them what happened the evening before. And how they felt.

That gave them confidence. And a year later the guy that was telling them all of this gave His life to Jesus and He was saved

Now how did I know they were at the BB court

    Because God told me

    I have thousands more

  6. Gods voice sounds like a very ghetto black dude. He keeps telling me to expose myself to random women. I keep doing it, I don't know how this is part of his plan.

  7. Yes like a good sound system with a really big sub-woofer, deep & powerful, like he would be a great singer.

He told me does not exist, I don't think it was to alter the perception of all of humanity, just mine.

Yes incredible things happen, I have so many blessings to count yet he waves me off if I give him the credit like I am a madman talking to myself.

No matter I will still blame him if I kick my toe.

  8. 1. I have heard the Voice of the Holy Ghost who Speaks for the Father to us.  The Lord tends to only speaks face to face to his prophets.

    2. It has always been a still, small, voice...easily over looked if not listening for it.  Almost like he is suggesting things, but in no way going to over power you or MAKE you do anything.  but at times, to strong for anyone who is honestly seeking the Lords will, to ignore.

3.Usually it is an answer to prayer or if I'm in tune to help me do something I may not have thought about before.

    4.Yes.  Very often actually.

    5.n/a

    6n/a

    Hope that helps.

  9. I think if people routinely heard and saw God, it would interfere with our need to have faith in Him.

This life is a test of faith--those who have faith enough to talk with God and recognize His hand in their lives are the ones who pass the test and take their places with God.

Just think if you heard or saw God, and if later you denied or cursed Him for the misfortunes in your life (as we feeble mortals tend to do) then you would be under greater condemnation that one could possibly imagine because you had absolute proof of His existance, and yet, you have rejected your crreator.

No--I have not heard or seen God, but I have asked for strength and blessings from Him, and have gotten it. I have even prayed for what sounds like silly things (my dog ran away and I prayed for his return; I lost the keys to the building where I work) and have had my prayers answered. I have prayed for great things and have gotten them (I prayed for a righteous spouse who would love God as much as I do, and I am getting married 1 October)

The only disembodied voice that I have ever heard, and that was only on one single occasion long ago--was that of the adversary. (It simply said to me "You aint worth S***""  I have always dealt with the problem a very low self-imagineI)  told a friend about that once, and he told me that it was a sign of schizophrenia to hear voices--so I have never talked about this to anyone, ever, until now. I am definately not schizophrenic

  10. Many people have heard the voice of the savior as he has instructed them in their lives.  It is a peaceful voice that pierces to the very soul.  It has been described as the sound of many waters, like the rushing of a river.  Few who have heard his voice would be so bold as to discuss the specifics of so sacred an experience.  It is not for the consumption of the world, but is a confirmation of faith to those who love the Lord.

I would invite you to read the scriptures, which are a record of such events.  The Doctrine and Covenants in particular is a book of revelations given by Jesus Christ, and recorded by Joseph Smith.

  11. Well i don't fully hear him speak to me.

But I hear what he wants me to hear.

Say for eg. I ask him for an opinion on if I should be friends with someone who is atheist. I don't hear him full on.

I hear him inside of me giving me hope and not pushing me to the limit.

He makes me hear my self talk when it it really him.

  12. thats a longass question!

  13. I feel your sincerity. And I love that you inquire like you do. I do not really feel comfortable telling the nature of what happened to me. Such a cop out I know.

Please let me assure you beyond any religious conviction you may have or have not, He has a voice.

. Does He answer any of your prayers for incredible things at all?---yes.

    5. If not, Why?---the  subject was an answer I did not want to hear. But it was a truth.

. Does He answer any of your prayers for incredible things at all?-------Yes yes yes.
