  1. If you stay in hostels, (15 Euro per night for a dorm bed on average) and do supermarket shopping for your own cooking, you can count on 50 Euro per person per day.

If you stay in modest hotels, (50 Euro per night for a double room) and eat out, modest amount of sightseeing, you can count on about 100 Euro per person per day.

If your hotels are more expensive than that you can add the money to the daily amount.

If you do a lot of traveling, or sightseeing like city tours, or go to expensive restaurants you will need a little more money still.

I hope this is something you can work with.

If you want to book hostels of hotels before you get to Germany, you can buy a guidebook or search on Internet, and e-mail all hostels (hotels) in English, all people who run hostels and hotels know enough English to help you out. Or you can ask one of your teachers to help you with a standard e-mail in German (but mention you are not good in the language yet and would like an answer in English.)

If you travel with more than 4 people you better book before traveling, as hostels and hotels do fill up in June and July.
