Dear friends wat r the two planets shining in sky at 7pm IST[INDIA], one in westside,another above head.?

DEAR FRIENDS, I AM INDIAN[INDIA].I WANT TO KNOW THE TWO PLANETS IN SKY SHINING LIKE STARS.CLEARLY MENTION ONE IN WESTSIDE AND ANOTHER ABOVE OUR HEAD.TIME IS 7PM.

  1. The two brightest objects in your sky at 7 pm would be the planets Venus (low in the west) and Jupiter (high in the south east).


  2. The one in the west is most likely Mars(red), but Venus(pink), Mercury(blue), and Saturn(orange), are still in the same area.  The one above your head might be the star Vega(Large white circle under the word Lyra). Or it could be Jupiter(yellow) which wouldn't be directly above your head.  The picture is in India at 7 PM exactly on August 29, for future reference.

    This is great freeware that you can download to answer this and so much more.  Just tell it where you are and it will tell you what you see.  Now and for years to come.  Enjoy.  

    It is Venus and look for Mercury and Mars too, both in the low western sky right at sunset.  Jupiter is in the southern sky but altitude is higher.
