As mentioned by JSS, I do not think our FM will have time to read Y! Answers :-)

Thats surprising you say this since now with efiling you could have submitted way back - all Form-16s are issued atleast by Mid to end May for sure, leaving a clear 2 months to file returns. efiling takes only about 15 minutes. Once done and if you do not own a digital signature, you need to take a print-out of ITR-V and submit to IT Dept; you need not go in person - this can be sent through anyone. In case you have to pay more tax this is also possible online. The whole process if you ask me takes less than half-a-day. You will make it even if you start after reading these posts.

Who told you that Finance Minister reads Yahoo Answers.

If you think that you will miss July 31, then make sure to pay all the due tax before July 31, 2008. It no tax is due, you will not pay any interest. So you can safely file before August 31st.

who told you that the finance minister will reply to your question or even read your question on yahoo answers. secondaly how u can say people are upset. how many people are u representing. we are not upset. and we have already filed our return well before the last date.
