Deat threat on our dogs?

we just got woken up (a little after midnite) by our neighbor yelling at our dogs for barking at him. he actually shouted that he would kill them & that he was on his own property,...he was actually in the ravine between our two properties when i looked out the window.

do we have legal recourse on the threat?

Looks like it is time for a compromise.

Try keeping your dogs inside while you sleep so yhey won't disturb the neighbors but at the same time can alert you yo prowlers.

They can probably hear anyone in the ravine from in the house.

If you have definite proof of illegal activities at your neighbor's house, it is your civic duty to alert the authorities.

If you have no proof but just gossip; you could open yourself to a slander lawsuit mentioning it online.

Davey Crockett used to say; "Be sure you are right; then go ahead."

Just remember if you cannot reconcile with your neighbor and you stir the mix; and are found wanting; he will still be your neighbor.

Make your dogs be quiet. There is nothing more rude than a neighbor who lets their dogs bark all night and have no consideration for other people. I would probably yell that too, even though I wouldn't act on it, people get frustrated and say things they don't mean when they are deprived of sleep.

You just got woken up by your neighbor.....some nerve. He just got woken up by your dogs.
