Death Note ending? ?

It kind of brought the story full swing. When we met Light he was a a young kid and at the end of the anime when he knows he is about to die he acts like a child crying out for help and running (not that that would be unlogical in that situation, he would have gone to jail otherwise) also there is a scene where we see the older light run right by an after image of young Light walking down the street when he first finds the Death Note. Once again this connects the story. Plus the fact that an image of L is there when he dies shows how Light was ultimately defeated in the end. Light was the sole creator of his own fate and although his intentions were good he took it a little too far.

Also Ryuk told him how he would die so the story stuck true to it's plot. Thats always a plus in a show.

On a side note I would like to add that the final song that begins with Misa on the train is absolutely beautiful. Props to the composer.

I thought it was a very good ending and it wrapped things up nicely, I really liked the sad tone of the ending.

I loved how death note ended. For some odd reson I love when the main characters die. It makes me feel closure!
