Can anyone explain to me what the quote means:

"No man needs only a little salary"

"Nobody dast blame this man. You don't understand"

I just don't get it. I'm doing my homework. But I need help. Thank you in advanced!

  1. the first means tht there is no one tht only needs "little salary"--which may or may not be metaphoric.

  2. This comment deals with the falsehood of the American dream, Willy's dream. A man needs more than his job and material possessions. And that is what led to Willy's failure, his false pursuit of food and reputation. Willy needed something more in life, he needed to appreciate the simple things it had to offer, which is what Biff accomplished in the end.
