  1. "what does charley's role in the play tell us about willy?"

You could say that Charley acts as 'Reality' towards Willy, offering him a job, giving him loans etc. Shows he knows Willy is in a bad state in terms of material success - wealth. This would contrast with Willy's constant failure to see Reality - thinking he is "vital" in various places and extremely successful.

what does the woman's role tell us about willy's relationship to linda?

Basically that he is unfaithful towards her, continues the sense of Willy's lies and failure to see reality. Also, due to this affair Willy is in constant guilt which frequently turns to anger towards his wife - shouting at her for getting the wrong type of cheese, shouting at her for mending the stockings ( the latter of the two is due to Willy buying "the woman" stockings in order to see business men faster.)

  2. Ugh... I did this play in HS, and I don't remember a thing. I'm sure there are several sites that would provide insights to this. You might try searching phrases like "death of a salesman scene analysis" little things like that. Hope this helps...
