Death of my hamster?

my hamster died a while ago, and i could'nt figure out what hapened. he live almost 3 years, which i think is good for a hamster. but he had a red bump on his underside. what could be the issue here?

Three years is good :)

It was probably a tumour :( They are very common in Syrian hamsters. I've had 3 of my Syrian's die because they had tumours :(

But yes , 3 years is a good long life :D

It was a scent gland tumour , if his pee turned blackish and he was cold , it was the tumour growing, My gerbil died of it too :( r.i.p cinny

well you did a good job with it. 3 years is very old for a hamster

it was most likely a tumor. hamsters dont live very long. =[

3 years was very good, it must have had a very happy life!

I hate to say it but it was probably a tumor. Three years is the life expectancy of hampsters. My baby hampster only lived about 4 weeks, something was horrible wrong with her, very tramatic experiance, you can only tell for sure if you get an autopsy, but that can be expensive.
