  1. It means that with the killer dead, the family of the victim can feel that justice was finally done.

  2. As the bible says, "a tooth for a tooth."  When a bad person kills another, he must defend himself in a court case.  If he is found guilty by the jury, the judge will render penalty of death.  By his death, the bad person pays his debt to society for being a bad, bad person.  So, the victim's families will have closure in the sense that their loved one, the victim, has been avenged.

  3. There is no sense of "closure" when you kill the killer of a family member.

You then become like the killer. This has been experienced by many and has been written about extensively by those who have been through it.

The notion of "closure" is a cliche code word that is almost bereft of any

sense value these days. I would drop its use in any discussion of state sponsored murder.

  4. from  what i hear and read they thought they would but you still without the family member and then you have no one left to blame

  5. they think it will bring them back or make them feel better if someone is executed even if its the wrong person some one would have died as a result of jill dando's murder and that one who was inocent of murdering that mum on hamstead heath. where is the closure in that?

  6. The family will probably feel that the person who committed the crime has finally gotten the punishment he/she deserves and the victim can now rest in peace. It also means that the person won't be able to commit the crime again to anyone else.
