When I was young, my best friend who lived a few houses up from me died in a terrible house fire. It was about, 8 or so years ago. I was wondering if I could somehow find and old article or something on a website? If anyone knows any websites I can use to research about the fire or just read about it I would appreciate it so much. I will def. give you stars and pick best answer. Thanks so much<3

  1. Sorry for the loss. You might check to see if the newspaper in the town that this happened in has a website with old articles. If not, you should be able to find any stories that may have been written about this tragedy either at the Library or the archives at the newspaper. you may be charged a small amount for this information.

    Good Luck.

  2. Old newspaper articles are archived, and that means that you would need to contact the local paper and have them research this for you. You'd need to give them as many factual details as possible: names, dates, addresses, ages, etc. Good luck in your search.

  3. Try this, type in the name of the newspaper that would report the news in your area, the date of the fire and fire and see if that helps in your search. If that doesnt work, then type in the name of the paper and see if they have an archives section.

    Good luck
