Question:

Debate: Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman, perfect father/daughter dance song or not?

My friend and I are having a debate.... I think this song is awesome, but she says it is more for BEFORE the wedding, which I understand, but I think it would still fit for a father/daughter dance. I personally am not having a dance at my wedding, so it is more of a hypothetical thing, but what do you think of it as a father/daughter dance?

  1. That song is soooooooooooooo cute! It Rocks!! And even if it sucked i would be telling you to have it, because it is YOUR wedding!!

But go for it, the song is beautiful!

  2. I think given what happened to S.C.C, this Spring it would make me very sad to hear it while seeing a father and daughter together. Maria Chapman, 5, was killed by her brother who carelessly drove a family SUV down their winding driveway and ran her over.

So, it's a pretty song which is fine for a dance or if you wanted a whole song right before a dad walked a bride down the aisle, but honestly, I think it's lost its magic.

  3. This is what my dad and I are dancing to! I think it's the perfect song because it goes through her whole life as his daughter. I see the point about it being for before the wedding but in the end of the song it talks about them dancing and her going away like at the end of the reception or something.

  4. It'd be perfect.

  5. I love it!  I think it would bring tears to your dad's eyes!
