ipl matches should be held bcoz there are too many benifits of it:

(1)it gives chance to perform to many young cricketers.

eg. suresh raina was not in our team but he played well in ipl.thats why we know that he is in good form and we put him in indian team.

(2)it gives lots of enjoyement.

(3)it shows india's love and part in world cricket.

(4)many indians earn from ipl.

so, i think that ipl should be held every year.

it gives a fantastic platform for youngsters to display their talent.......to learn from international cricketers......to fix their place in the national team......to make money.......to come in limelight......and last but not the least, it will definitey make cricket popular, at par with football maybe..........

IPL matches should be held because they are helpful to youngsters as they give them a platform to show their talent and to learn from experienced players from all over the world. It financially secures players especially players that play for countries that dont give their players a lot of money. Eg Tatenda Taibu can make a lot of money that he couldn't have if he didnt if he played for Zimbabwe.

It can promote the game to other countries where it was perhaps not famous.
