Debating help! That we overrate our celebrities?

I reckon u should include sports stars because apart form the bad ones, there are some that are good sportsmen. U could mention the celebrities doing a good job, donating money, etc.

Celebrities are basically rolemodels and idols for societies kids, so if we publisize the celebs, the children should eventually know whats right from wrong.

Or something like that.

Some celebrities set very good examples eg -David beckham supports many charities and also is for exercise and healthy eating,and in some cases, could change some obese peoples lives because he supports them to help them change.

Many celebrities are involved in Live 8 and do some charitie benefit events.

They chose to be celebreties themselves, so they get themselves into the whole mess. Children look up them, so they set examples to millions worldwide. If that's the case, why shouldn't we be able to expect them to act civilised and try their hardest in all areas?
