Debating with boys names?

Question

my husband and I are debating boys names,I like the names that he has chosen as his top 5 but I am not in love with any of them,our other 3 children were easy to name

His list from order of preferance

1: Gabriel James

2: Elijah James

3: Zaid Joseph

4: Jace not sure on middle name(suggestions welcome)

5: Isaiah Blaze

my top 5

1: Sebastian Elijah(after a friend who died in a motorbike accident when I was 16 but husband thinks it would be weird naming son after another guy

2:Arion Lee

3: Lincoln James

4:Isaiah Theo(Theo after my grandfather)

5:Zaid River or Zaid Kaelan

I also like Harlan James

I like Zaid Joseph, Elijah James and Sebastian Elijah

Gabriel James - I don't like the first name at all.

Elijah James - Probably my favorite out of all the names.

Zaid Joseph - I like Joseph, but not Zaid.

Jace - No

Isaiah Blaze - Isaiah is a nice name but Blaze is terrible.

Sebastian Elijah - I don't like the name Sebastian at all.  Sounds snooty and stuck-up.

Arion Lee - No

Lincoln James - Lincoln is an awful first name.

Isaiah Theo - I don't like just Theo, maybe Theodore???

Zaid River and Zaid Kaelan - Awful, awful, awful!

Harlan James - Harlan is terrible too.

Again, my favorite out of all the combos is Elijah James.  Isaiah James would be good too.

1. Gabriel James - very nice. I don't, however, like the nickname Gabe.

2. Elijah James - decent name, but Elias James would be wonderful.

3. Zaid Joseph - not so much. Joseph Zaid would be nice.

4. Jace - Intensely dislike it.

5. Isaiah Blaze - Isaiah is nice, but I don't like Blaze at all.

2. Arion Lee - Arion is much too close to Aryan, in my opinion. Google it, if you don't know the significance. I do like Lee for a first name.

3. Lincoln James - I don't like Lincoln or the icky nickname Linc.

4. Isaiah Theo - great name!

5. Zaid River or Zaid Kaelan - I don't like either.

6. Harlan James - sounds low class to me.

Your husbands name that is my favorite is Elijah James because I love the name Elijah.

From your list I  like Harlan  James it sounds like an actor's name or something....

I think Isaiah is your best bet, as it is listed as a first name in both of your lists.  As for a middle name, I think Isaiah Theo would be great, especially as Theo was your grandfathers name; a great namesake to pass down.

I think it is nice naming your beby after a friend. how about Sebastian James so ur husband dosent get upset

Elijah James- beautiful and simple yet not that common. Plus- u both like the name.

I like Zaid - it is unusual and your son is unlikely to come up with many classmates with the same name.  

I also like Isaiah, it is a really strong sounding name.  Don't really like Blaze or Arion as names, but I'm sure whatever you choose your son will be a lovely addition to your family.

From your list I like the names Sebastian and Isaiah but not the middle names they're paired with.  

What about?

Isaiah Sebastian - you both like Isaiah + Sebastian as a middle name to honour your friend

Isaiah James - both like Isaiah + it seems you both like James as a middle name?

Gabriel Sebastian - your husband likes Gabriel + Sebastian to honour your friend.

I like all the above combos and it would ensure you both had an equal say in the name....
