At what age can you get a debit card{A card that lets you take money out of your bank directly} in the UK?

    My son got one, its a visa electron card, he can't spend over whathe has in his account so it's fine

  4. Lloyds-TSB is mailing the cards direct to children as young as 11 without telling their parents.

    In the past, children aged 11 to 15 who hold current accounts were restricted to debit cards that could be used only in cash machines or at bank branches.

  5. I don't know about the UK, but you can get a debit card with any checking acount in the US.  I think that is 16...may be 18.

  8. NatWest have an Adapt account for 11-17 year olds which includes a cash card that they can personalise! You'll find that most banks have got similar accounts so the answer to your question is 11.
