  1. Yes I think you will be charged.

If you have a 'Nationwide Building Society' account you do not get charged plus you get a better exchange rate than you do on other Debit cards.

Its worth opening an account and putting some cash into it before you go abroad, much better than taking cash or traveller's cheques.

  2. Ask them.  The Nationwide debit card can be used world wide with no charge.  I used it in OZ and Portugal.

  3. halifax is in ireland too but you will be charged

  4. Yes, You will.

  5. I've used my debit card all over Europe for the last 3 years. I pay a "one off" monthly charge of about £9 but all ATM withdrawals are charge free.

  6. The Halifax charges me £1.50 when I use my debit card to buy something on the net, outside the UK.

  7. get a talksport credit card and have your salary paid onto that

https://www.talksportcard.co.uk/ you can use it anywhere in the world :-)

  8. Yes you will be charged - either a percentage of the amount you withdraw, or a fixed sum. Ireland is a separate country with a different currency.

  9. I live in Northern Ireland, UK and often use my debit card in the Republic. I have NEVER been charged.
