Debonair Pizza Floodlit Trophy - Yogi Group emerges as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Griffith-c919 name after winning
Yogi Group Cricket Club has earned great name and fame in the domestic cricket circles of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE) after bagging the title of Debonair Pizza Floodlit Trophy.
They defeated Fly Emirates cricket team in the final of the tournament on June 29 at the International Cricket Council Global Academy.
Yogi won the final game comfortably despite the fact that the Emirates team had some http://www.senore.com/Cricket/OA-Shah-c2134 domestic cricket players.
Talking to the media, the Yogi Group skipper, Shiva Pagarani, said:

The Debonair Pizza Floodlit Trophy has proved to be a mega success story. Commenting on the tournament, the Dubai Cricket Council (DCC) secretary, Mohammad Lokhandwala said:
“We were struggling for five years without a cricket ground and with Debonair's support and Global Academy facilities we could stage a fine tournament”.
The tournament, starting on May 23, contained 12 teams including Yogi Group, Seven Seas Strikers, Fly Emirates, Farooq CC, Abraj CC, Amlak Finance, Cool Boys CC, Globelink Westar Shipping, Wings XI, Phoenix Medicine, Nucaf Tellicherry and HSBC.
Yogi Group has grabbed some back-to-back successes in this season. They won the Sharjah Ramadan Interface Tournament at the start of the season and finished up four preceding domestic tournaments as runner-up.
The Orange shirts defeated Fly Emirates in a quarter-final game of the Sharjah Ramadan Tournament that was organised by Sharjah Cricket Council in September last year.
Yogi Group’s laurels have turned the attention of the domestic cricket fans and sponsors towards the club as they have managed to get a big victory with ordinary players.
This victory has boosted up the morals of the players and they are confident of gaining successes in the future tournaments as well.
