Debris caution?

What did that guy pick up? It was small enough it fit in the palm of his hand.

Notice Bill Weber said "Boy, this is an unbelievable break for Mears and Vickers"

So was that a real debris caution, or do you think it was for entertainment only?

  1. Just because it was small doesn't mean that it wasn't dangerous.  If the object is sharp, it could cut down a tire.  Or, if it was hard, a car could run over it and send it up into the stands and injure a fan.

Plus, accusing NASCAR of scripting a race to benefit Casey Mears (as well as Brian Vickers) is quite a stretch.

  2. TNT said they didn't make enough room for commercials so they figuerd they would ask NASCAR to throw a caution so we could get the latest preview of the The Closer

  3. It could have been dangerous, but it wasnt worth stopinf the race for.  Some guy could have grabbed it once they had all gone past. So, in some ways, it was for entertainment only.

    Go 24

  4. Definately entertainment. I think it was a donut, but hey, track officials have to eat too
