  1. I wouldnt consolidate 1500$... Add it to a car loan, I always did that... it helped me consolidate so many many small bills.

Don't take out a whole new loan if you don't have to, also if you don't take it to get it consolidated then you won't think of spending the money that you would be saving in late fees and intrest so readily on something else.

  2. Here's a company that you can consolidate with less than $1,500 in debt: http://www.ifreebies.info

  3. Debt consolodation is almost like filing bankruptcy.  Just deal with it yourself instead of calling those companies.  That only prolongs the cc payments and interest.  If it is several cc's pay the minimum on all but one and pay the most you can on one.  Eventually you will pay all of them off.

  4. Just pay more money to the lowest total balance until paid off and pay minimum balance to the others.  Pay off from lowest to highest total balance due.

  5. Congrats to you for recognize the problem while it is still relatively small.

Not quiet sure whether your problem with the debt is about having a plan to payoff the debt or the self discipline to do it.

The plan is simple.  Don't owe any additional money is the first step.  Then calculate how much money you are able to pay toward the debt each month.  Call the company whom you owe the money, ask them to either lower the interest rate or freeze the interest charge while you promise to payback the fixed amount each month.

If you lack the self discipline, then utilize direct deposit or debit functions to put a portion of your paycheck toward paying down the debt.

    Best wishes.

  6. I have not found one yet for that little of debt. I will fill you in on a little secret though. THe debt consolidaters do this. They have you start a savings account and save up the money  monthly. When you get a certain amount saved up (half of what you owe) they call the debtors and offer them half of the money you owe, then charge you a fee for haggling with them.

You can do this without their help. Save up the money, then offer them a payoff of the amount you owe. It is the best way with such little amount being owed.

    Good Luck
