The French International currently plays for the Ligue 1 side Lille. He remained a member of the club’s youth academy for almost ten years, before making his senior level debut in January 2004 against Metz. In total, he has capped 288 appearances for Lille
over a period of eight years and also scored 17 goals.
After helping his side secure third place in the league during the 2011/12 campaign, the defender revealed his longing to be a part of a Premier League outfit in the future.
While talking to reporters during France’s training camp, he said: “I would really like to, why not, go and see what it is like to play for a club abroad.”
“Other leagues please me as well, but I really like the English style.”
Debuchy, who has also capped 4 international appearances for France, was named by the national manager Laurent Blanc in his 23-man squad for the impending Euro 2012 tournament. With uncertainty still surrounding his possible club future, the Frenchman indicated
that he had currently switched his focus on the glamorous European event.
He added, “For the moment I am preparing for the Euro [2012] and I will leave my agents to deal with such matters. If I stay at Lille, I will be happy as well.”
The defender participated in France’s friendly match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iceland-c2921 on Sunday, in which he scored his first international goal to help his side record a thrilling 3-2 victory.

When asked whether he is willing to part ways with Lille after the European Championships, he responded by saying that even though he viewed a move to England as a step forward in his career, he is yet to take a final decision on the matter.
He added, “I don't know any more than that, I haven't discussed anything with my club.”
