Decal Paper for printer that will work for a decal to put on my car?

I am looking for a decal paper that I can print from home and then have the decal withstand outside weathering. I want to make a decal for my car. I have tried this with different products and found that they will not stay on my car after several days. Also have found that white works best because once the image is printed you can see it against the tinting of the windshield. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Have you tried reversing the image so you could adhere it to the interior of the car?  It sure wouldn't be in the weather!
