Deccan Chargers vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): RCB bowlers
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost their match against the Mumbai Indian’s and would be dying to redeem their performance against Deccan Chargers on April 14, 2011.
RCB have got some good bowlers in their line up and these bowlers have the potential to give a tough time to the Deccan Chargers batsmen.
Zaheer Khan would be a bowler of prominence within the RCB line up and could easily bowl an exceptional spell in the early overs.
Zaheer had a good season last year and took 15 wickets from 14 matches, which he played in the tournament. Though, he was not that effective in his opening match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians, he would now be playing against a less tough batting side like Deccan
Chargers and could make a much stronger impact against them.
Zaheer is a specialist opening over’s bowler and picks quick wickets in his early spells. His in-swingers could easily do the trick for RCB and he could trap the opener’s leg before during his opening spell.
Zaheer keeps a good line on middle and off stump and does not give much room to the batsmen to hit major boundaries.
Deccan Chargers batsmen would be desperate to get off to a good start in the match and might end up playing some uppish cut shots to the fielder.
Zaheer’s spell would be quite crucial for RCB and he would have to bowl some economical overs in order to maintain some pressure on the Deccan Chargers batsmen.
Daniel Vettori is another bowler of prominence within, the RCB line up and could prove crucial in the early overs.
Vettori is no ordinary bowler and knows the art of bowling some quality spin during his early spells. Vettori was pretty awesome against the Mumbai Indian’s and gave 18 runs off his 4 over spell. Though, he did not pick up any wicket, he was quite tidy with
his line and did not give loose balls to the batsmen.
Vettori knows the art of containing the batsmen and could prove helpful in halting the Deccan Chargers batsmen from scoring major boundaries in the first 10 overs.
Vettori bowls a deadly consistent line on the off side and invites the batsmen to play some awkward shots on the off side. K Sangakkara has a tendency of playing some uppish cover drives on the off side and could easily end up edging some deliveries off
Vettori to the keeper or the slip region.
A Mithun is another bowler of substance within the RCB line up and has the tendency of bowling some good medium pace during the first 15 overs.
Mithun did not bowl a good spell against Mumbai Indians and gave 31 runs off his 3 overs. Deccan Chargers batsmen have not shown a lot of command in the tournament and it would be a perfect opportunity for Mithun to bowl some aggressive deliveries to their
middle order batsmen.
Overall, RCB has got some good bowlers in their line up and these bowlers have the fire power to give a hard time to the Deccan Chargers batsmen.
