  1. This idea would not use the picture you have, but when my grandma died in November, we bought heart shaped lockets for the granddaughters, put her picture in each one and on the back we engraved (for example) "To Amanda From Grandma."  The girls absolutely love them and wear them close to the heart.

  2. Make a picture frame out of your grandma's hankie or something.

  3. I think a good idea will be a blanket.  Take the image and imprint it on a blanket, that way everytime they use the blanket it will be special.

  4. You should try www.ScraplessBooks.com --they are the best when it comes to digital Storybooking.

It is all online, no software to download. You can start from scratch with a blank book, or use one of hundreds of professionally designed templates with any and every theme imaginable.

With a template, the entire book is pretty much already designed for you, but has spaces left out for your own pictures and text. Also, templates can be changed, they are not permenant--if you don't like the particular button or ribbon or whatever, you can delete it or exchange it for something else.

This is also much cheaper than a traditional scrapbook. You pay $20 for a month's use of the online library of over 60,000 pieces of artwork including backgrounds and embellishments, quotes and texts, and more. Then you pay for the book itself. The books run in all sizes and price ranges, with the 5x5 being $29.95 and the 12x12 being $79.95. And, these are not the cheap, impersonal books you find all over the internet and in every store these days either! These are quality, library bound, hand stitched, hard-back, custom books.

I myself have made one to honor my Great Grandparents, and I am working on another for my Grandparents that will tell the story of their lives together. I have also made one about my daughter's first year, a Disneyland vacation I took a few years ago, a wedding book for my cousin, and a brag book for my husband. The possibilites are endless with these. Plus, there are lots of specials going on all the time--so you could create a book about your Grandmother and all the times you, your mom, aunt, and cousin had with her and purchase 5 copies of the book at a deeply dicounted rate. In fact, an 8x8 book (the most popular size) is regularly $49.95, but when you buy five, they are $39.95 each.

The price does not go by how many pictures or embellishments you use--use as much or as little as you want. Each book comes with a standard 21 pages and you pay $.99 per page after 27 pages, and each is expandable up to 99 pages.

You will not find a better, easier, better quality, cheaper way of scrapbooking. Period.

  5. Why dont you make a tradition with a family scrapbook? You could make a page dedicated to your grandma. Have the book be passed from one family member to the next. You can include vacations, family get togethers, and just up date pictures.
