Well, if your giving it to a 2012 doomsdayer, then make sure to put a decal of a brown dwarf on the lenses so they will feel all special inside! But for the average, sane person, I would recommend a dobsonian... they're my favorite.

While some think that 2012 is the end of the earth, I happen to believe that it has nothing to to with the end. 2012 will be the year that everyone will have a heightened awareness of their purpose on earth and an undertanding of God's plan.  Take care.

a good. nice. unique.afordable telescope will do. its not the gift that would matter, its the tought.

why in 2012? cause of doomsday and u can see it all happening....

chyeahh right!!

if terrorists dropped bombs everywhere and destroyed the earth, then Jesus couldnt come back (rapture.) so "Doomsday" isnt gunna happen.

maybe some people will take it into reality and drop bombs.... but it wont destroy the earth..
