hi all..my bf & i are looking to get away in December (about a week or so before xmas). we'd like something romantic and cozy either in vermont or pa. i'd prefer to be close to a quaint/historic looking town with little shops and such similar to new hope, pa. any suggestions? we aren't really interested in skiing but a sleigh ride would be fabulous! Some help would be appreciated :)

  1. burlington and stowe--they are about 45 mionutes apart--stowe will have the quaint town.sleigh rides and great ski resorts (stowe, smuggs notch), ben &jerry tours are nearby as well, covered bridges,etc--stowe is known as the quintessential new england town

..also, killington area in the south is a good choice--lots of small quaint towns (woodstock, bennington, queechee,) good resorts (killington, okemo) and killington ski resort does horse drawn sleigh rides

    - if i had to pick 9one, i would say stowe and burlington
