Decent club/pub in sydney?

Question

Am going to sydney for a long weekend and am staying in the city. I would like to know of good clubs to go to that have decent music, not interested in hangouts for 18 yr olds, more for late 20s and 30s?

try king street in newtown.or the balmain areas.the only suburb in sydney with so many pubs and its only few minutes from cbd.city pubs are full of crazy drunks.try those two suburb and you will enjoy.stay away from the city pubs.

i like verandah bar on castlereagh street, also sky bar on same street.  the lincoln or favela in kings cross are great places. cruise bar at overseas passenger terminal is cool as is bridge bar on opposite side of harbour. not sure about clubs, as they are mostly dominated by the younger set, and i would generally stay in bars all night.  for food, phamish in darlinghurst, jimmy liks on victoria street, or wildfire at overseas passenger terminal are my faves...
