Question:

Decent golf clubs to buy?

I'm a decent golfer (low to mid 40s) but never really paid much attention to the clubs themselves. I've had the same ones for about 13yrs and got them when I was 15...I'd imagine its time for new ones. What are decent ones? I'm looking for middle of the road, cheap ones cause I only get out about 6 or 7 times a year. Ideas? Thanks!

  1. I would have to say the taylormade rac os.  Its a good club for under $350 and it is a very easy club to hit.

If you are just starting golf i would not recommend any blade irons or tour prefered irons.  Just stick with the basics!

    good luck :-D

  2. wilson staff irons maybe

  3. If you only play 6 to 7 times a year, then a lot of the clubs people are mentioning are too pricey for how much you play.  I would go with something by Adams, which are very affordable and also very good clubs.  A good website for discounts is rockbottomgolf.com, I get a few things like balls and shoes from there at great prices.  Good luck!

  4. go to callawaypreown.com

  5. Cobra makes great irons I've got a set thats aa couple years old now, but hit like butter.  The new Cobra FP irons can be bought for $350 with Nippon steel shafts or $400 with Aldila NV shafts.

  6. Ping is the only way to go in my opinion but they are about the $800 range.  Order them to fit you makes wonders.

  7. Most golf stores have Adams GT500s. These clubs are sweet, will help your game and only cost around 200 bucks. Good luck!

  8. Go to any sporting goods store, tell them exactly what you detailed in your question and they'll set you up.  Prices and styles are many.

By  the way, ping clubs are nice but out of your range, start cheaper.

  9. Im using Callaway X20 & highly recommend them. Dont go cheap because youll regret it later.

  10. go to golfetail.com they have great prices

  11. i would get a second-hand iron set and buy a brand-new drive and hybrid clubs. Try Golf Smith's sold out to get a bargain.

  12. Go somewhere and buy a good set of used older clubs.  You definately need some new wrenches.  Check out this site.  They have other brands besides Callaway, and all the clubs are what I would call "decent".  The clubs I play now, that I paid $700 for 3 years ago are only $265.
