Question:

Deciding A Future Career In Creativity or Math

Alright so I've been thinking about my future career lately, and I just don't know what I can do. I mean I really love being creative when it comes to writing (I'm even writing my own book) or when making videos. However, I also have an incredible skill in math, but for some reason I want to do either writing/making movies or doing some job in construction/technology. So is there any job I could do that would involve making movies or writing while being able to use not too much math, cause I don't want my math skill to go to waste. Thanks for all the help!

  1. How about finance?  The financial cosmos can always find use for effective, calibrated creativity in written reports. Math skills never go to waste in finance. You mentioned  construction in your question  - That angle will largely be missing in finance, except for equity/bond analysis of construction companies (But that's not the same as actual blue collar/union work. Is that what you meant? Or did you mean something more like architect? Hey, why not be that?? <smile>)  Creativity is a growing need in financial companies, specifically, making and refining  video webclips for retail clients and B2B clients as well as internal training. So that addresses the movie-making angle.

  2. Use Math for your career.  Use the Music for your soul and hobby
