Decipher this sentence? (german...)?

It's a listening exercise, and what I get is

"Habt ihr seine Frau danich kennen gelernt?"

I can't get that "danich" word... what word fitst in there that makes sense?

Do you know / Have you met his wife Danich ?(I agree it must be a name, or you might have misheard it for the word danach, which means afterwards)

That's a misspelling, it should be "da nicht"

"Habt ihr seine Frau da nicht kennen gelernt?"

"Did you not meet his wife there?"

Edit: Elwood, since it was a listening exercise, it's more probable that it was "da nicht". "danach" has a different pronunciation.

which could translate into one of the following:

Didn't you meet his wife there?

or

Didn't you meet his wife back then?

"da" could stand for a place or a particular moment or situation.

"Habt ihr seine Frau denn nicht kennen gelernt?"

which could translate into:

"Haven't you met his wife?"

But I think the first and the second are more reasonable :-).

There is no such German word as 'danich'.

I think it's a typo and the word should really be 'danach', meaning, afterwards, or after that.

So then the sentence would translate as:

'Did you (plural) meet his wife after that / afterwards?"
