The Juan Arias trained colt was not alone, as he worked in tandem with the Shivananda Parbhoo’s 5-year-old Giant Ryan. Both horses have done quite well at Calder Casino and Race Course this season.
Both worked five furlongs on the morning of 23rd September, as Decisive Moment covered the distance in 1 minute and 2 seconds flat for trainer Juan Arias.
The son of With Distinction, out of Lady Samira by Dehere, Decisive Moment had his last start in the $75,000 Naked Greed Stakes on 20 August, 2011, where he was declared the favourite but wound up finishing behind the winner, Manicero, in the 1 mile long
race.
The Just For Fun Farms owned colt, Decisive Moment, did go on to win the $75,000 El Kaiser Stakes, also at Calder racecourse, on 30 July, 2011, over a distance of 1 mile and 70 yards, as he downed Chiseled Light and Andersonstate with a winning time of 1
minute and 45.57 seconds.

Bob Baffert is looking to bag the race as well, as he sends out his smart runner, Prayer for Relief.
Steven Asmussen trained Wilburn is no push over, and will look to improve his winning record.
To fill up the field of the 1 1/16 mile event, Von Hemel trained Caleb’s Posse will also fancy his chances to win the race, as he comes off a win in the Grade 1 King’s Bishop Stakes at Saratoga, where he nosed out the 2010 2-year-old champion, Uncle Mo.
The 3-year-old Thomas Amos trained Populist Politics will complete the Indiana Derby line-up, as he comes off a third place finish in the Grade 2 Super Derby at Louisiana Downs on 10 September.
