  1. i know nothing

  2. in my passport i have a microchip...

apparently that stores any extra information.

  3. I live in spain and over the last three months or so every male entering spain is having their passport electronically "swiped". This never happened in the past they only compared the picture and checked the passport. Having said that you will probably be ok  unless you have a prior outstanding fine or conviction in Spain

  4. We have moved to Spain from the U.K.  We were never ever asked to provide any such information re criminal convictions.  (By the way we didn't have any to declare).  As far as I am aware the Spanish authorities just quickly check your passport for verification of the fact that you are who your passport says you are and for no other reason.  I have been on flights returning from the U.K. and when I get to passport control, often times there is no-one to even check your passport.

  5. I doubt it can be in use or the costa del sol would be deserted......
