  1. It sounds like something happened that scared you.  What ever it was it made you feel threatened that you would be harmed.

I doubt you can remember what it was since you were only 3.  But if you can remember this dream at age 3 then it must have been horrifying because most children don't recall anything under the age of 4 and sometimes 5

Ask your parents if something happened to you at that age so you can get to the bottom of it and put it to rest.  You shouldn't have to put up with these type of dreams.  Find out the situation and the dreams will stop.

    Good Luck!

  2. The phrase HUGE house shows that this is a huge shadow in your life. It is very common for girls, young women and even old women to have a dream or rather nightmare of being pursued by a dark, shadowy figure, a man. It usually means that they have actually been pursued by a man and then abused in one way or another.

Your scenario is quite characteristic. It does hint at abuse. The fact that it still haunts you is fairly strong evidence that someone did cross the line of propriety. It is also normal that the real cause of the nightmare is repressed by the dreamer. Of course not many children can remember back to the age of three very clearly. That could be a factor, but I believe this is repressed memory.

Age regression would be one way of dealing with this fear. Also your parents might know something; but they may not want to talk about it.

The usual abusers are usually in the family or among the relations. But your dream scenario points to a stranger invading your person one way or another. Nevertheless this stranger may be closer than what it seems.

There is a slim chance that some of the memory of an incident might resurface. If you focused on that huge house of your town you grew up with, memories might be unlocked. Do you recognise the house of your dream? What thoughts come to your mind when you think of it intensely?

Another way of dealing with this is to watch at what occasions this dream flashes into your memory during the day. If it happens to do so you need to stop and look about and see if anything will match up with your dream scenario. This could lead to unlocking some of the crucial memories on which this nightmare is built.

Suppressing it is no help. It only gets stronger. Fronting up to the nightmare is usually the best way of dealing with it.

You could do some dramatisations of this nightmare. Go to a safe place and sit in a chair pretending that you are sitting on the front steps of the HUGE house listening to the rain. Then watch this man coming out of his car and instead of running away confront him with: "Who are you?" Listen to what flashes into your mind the instant you have asked this question. Go with that and pursue its trail. Even if all traces have gone and you will not remember that dark shadow coming out of the car, you will abreact some of this fear. If you keep doing this you will get eventual relief. If you can't do this by yourself find someone you can trust and go through with it in that way.

  3. Maybe you're scared of being Abducted...(sp)

  4. To dream of rain falling, symbolizes forgiveness.  To dream of running away from someone means that you are running from something--a situation.  To dream of home symbolizes your comfort zone; or it could mean someone close to you; your desire to settle down.

To me, this dream is your desire to forgive someone who has wronged you in the past.  However, you have not found the courage or the opportunity to confront the person who has wronged you.  Most likely it is someone you love very much, but you feel some resentment toward them because of the situation that happened between you.  You want to forgive them but find yourself in a situation where you can't or won't.

    hope this helps

  5. i suggest just let it go. cuz more you think more you going to dream about it....anything happened to you when u were young?

  6. It seems to me that maybe something happened to you in your childhood and somehow consciously it's being brought up to spring your curiosity.  This POSSIBLE event could be what's triggering these nightmares.
