Decorate my room? help??

Question

i have a lilac colored room with a white ceiling. my room is small. i can probably fit a full size bed and have alot of room. i want to decorate it so that it would look really great. i want to do a theme and want the room to match. what kind of decorations should i put????

also, what color furniture would look good = dark cherry or like a creamish color???

i have maroon carpeting, but we are getting it redone to like a light good color that would match.

Colors that look good with lilac are dark purple, plum and the other colors in that spectrum.I'd keep the furniture light not dark.

Pull some photo's out of magazines that inspire you then you will get an idea of a theme that you like.

imagine a vase of deep purple flowers next to your bed, placed on a cream nightstand.

mirrors would look good too.

I'm doing my room with the same colors.  I found an amazing bed from this website.  It is perfect for a lavender room.  If you go to the webpage, it's about 3/4 of the way down, and is called the "Pearl Sleigh Bed Collection."  The picture of the room may give you some good ideas too.
