Decorating? I Want To Give My Room A Japanese Theme But How? ?

I just took everything out of my room, and i want to do something differant, my walls are paited blue, and i have a lot of windows in my room,

any idea's for drapes, caprets, anything.......i just need help

Find a world market in your area. They normally carry japanese items such as lanterns you can use as a lamp and bamboo shades for the windows. Use bamboo since it is used for many things that traditional japanese homes have. Japanese furniture is short so a bed w/o a frame or a short table would suffice. Also try some japanese fans and umbrellas. You may have a hard time finding those since most sold are chinese.

What you could do is paint you walls a dark gold or a golden color and any sort of red

Then all you have to do is look around and find Japanese things that could go in your room

for drapes you can get a dark gold or light red for the drapes
