Decorating Room Like Classroom?

Question

I want to decorate my dorm room by having a classroom theme since me and my roommate wants to be teachers. Any Ideas to make it look like a class rooom? I want to be an english teacher. Thanks!

Go to a teacher supply store, and everything you could want will be there...boarders, charts, stamps, etc.

Even though you didn't ask, I'm going to suggest you line a bookcase with books on grammer.  You have three mistakes in your post.

As far as decorating, the first two posts have good ideas.  Also, the fabric stores, such as JoAnn or Michael's usually have cute teacher-theme fabrics.

get a chalk board and hang it up..

get name tags..

a desk..

a big calender...

alphabet borders for the walls..

Some simple things: Hit the local garage sales, resale shops, or thrift stores and look for blocks (letters for your names), bulletin boards, cups (to make into pen/pencil cups), crayons, ribbons, chalkboards/dry erase boards, etc.

For the bulletin board: look at the remnants bins for fabric or get some school themed fabric and cover (or re-cover) the board. If you want, criss-cross brightly covered ribbons over the board -- I'm sure you've seen this type of board just about everywhere!

Block letters: Use wood glue or hot glue to attach letters to a small board or to the top of a chalk/dry erase board. These are great for messages or notes for your roommate.

Cups: use appropriate paint or sticker letters to keep your pens/pencils for your desks
